This historical Old Enfield home, built in 1910, was carefully restored to its original state and formerly the home of Texas Governors Ma (Miriam) and Pa (James) Ferguson. It has 7 bedrooms, and 5.5 bathrooms, and is large enough to host 19 guests at a time. Each of the 3 King bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom, and all the bedrooms come with fresh linens and fluffy bath towels.

The spacious sundrenched patio features a private swimming pool, surrounded by comfy sun recliner chairs with umbrellas, outdoor dining tables and lounge seating. Enjoy a BBQ meal cooked right off the outdoor grill, or refresh with icy cool drinks while lounging in the Texas sunshine.

Inside, you'll find several lounge areas for socializing, a fully equipped kitchen, a large capacity dining area, and an in-house laundry area. There are 4 Smart TV's throughout the home for your entertainment, and complimentary high speed internet connection. Ample parking with room for 5 vehicles to park in the driveway, plus additional free street parking on Windsor Road.

The home is located at the north end of the Clarksville neighborhood in Old West Austin. Walking distance to the expansive Pease District Park with scenic trails, play areas, splash pad, athletic courts and lots of green space in addition to hosting the wildly anticipated Eeyore’s Birthday Party event every year. The low-key, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood is known for its modest bungalows and long-standing cafes and shops. Walkable to Fresh Plus grocery, Medici Coffee Roasters and other charming restaurants. Clarksville is bordered by a trendy commercial strip at 6th & Blanco known for top spots like Clark's and Howard's Night Club, as well as Treaty Oak, a state landmark. It's also walking distance from the Fresh Plus Grocery at West Lynn St.

• Pets are welcome at our home. The pet fee is $50/pet. A maximum of one dog is permitted, with breed restrictions in place. Cats are not allowed

• We're happy to deliver:

Cancellation Policy

We offer flexible cancellations for all reservations made on upstay.com

0-4 bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 5 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
5-8 bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 7 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)
9+ bedroom properties - Free cancellation until 14 days prior to arrival (4pm eastern time)

For longer stays (up to 30 days) or monthly leases, we require at least 30 days notice to cancel or modify without fees.

Booking Deposit

50% of the total cost of the reservation is due at the time of booking, the other 50% must be paid once the cancellation policy kicks in.

Very nice place that worked really well for our family gathering. Comfortable with plenty of space for gathering and spending time together. Definitely would come back.

This house is so amazing! Very beautiful, historic, and lots of space. Fantastic for big groups, beds were comfy, bathrooms and all the rooms in the house were very clean. The pool and outside patio are the highlights! The grill worked great! Location was phenomenal, close to absoultely everything.Short walk to coffee shops and great restaurants in Clarksville. It's on a busy street so there was traffic noise. A couple things: The pool is deep! If you have little kids it's just good to know, the pool starts at 5 feet, then goes to 9 feet. There are just a few steps in the shallow end that kids can stand on. The kitchen is not really set up for cooking for a large group. If you are wanting to make big meals for everyone I think they need a few more pots & pans & cooking utensils, serving trays etc. While we were able to make do with what they had, it's not ideal for cooking big meals. So we just grilled everything outside which worked out well.

Awesome place. 10 nice beds and 5 full bathrooms. The A/C worked well to combat the outside heat. The private pool and outdoor space was the biggest draw. Perfect for large groups.

At that time, we informed you that, unfortunately, we couldn't accommodate your request as our team was still cleaning the property. We hope you understand that we need sufficient time to ensure the unit is ready for our guests upon arrival. We wouldn't want you to check in, tired from your long travel, to a unit that doesn't meet our high standards. We appreciate your understanding and are grateful you chose our property.
